Party Crashin’: Bringing Our Message to UBS’s Parade

Today in Stamford, UBS is throwing their big annual Parade Spectacular, trying to fool the people of Stamford into thinking that they are a “good neighbor”.  We will be there in force to let folks know that UBS is a terrible neighbor to the people of Appalachia as they continue to finance the destruction of our communities by mountaintop removal.   We’re bringing puppets, carnival games, leaflets, and a clear message that we will not rest until UBS agrees to completely halt its funding of companies that perpetrate MTR.

On Friday, three HOA organizers and residents of Appalachia met with executives at UBS for the first time.  This was a huge step for our campaign, but unfortunately, all we heard from UBS was more of the same, defending their failed policy on MTR.  We are responding to the meeting with this open letter to UBS and today’s action confronting them on their home turf.
